I have a love-hate relationship with New York City. There are days when the glitter of the Empire State falls over my eyes and I look at Park Avenue, the Flat Iron building and bustling streets as though for the first time. On days like those, I sometimes carry my camera with me and walk around the city snapping photos as though I’m a tourist. My eyes grow wide, my walk slows down and New York seems to embrace me in a warm hug.
Then there are days when NYC kicks my butt and the glitter is shaken from my eyes; when missed subways and pushy pedestrians challenge my thoughts of this city. Yet, no matter the day I know that I’m lucky to live in NYC–in a place that holds a certain promise of opportunity and dreaming for many around the world. Perhaps that’s why I was inspired to pull this post together and create these images to show my love to old, New York.
I hope you enjoyed these NYC pins! If there is a destination you would like me to create pins for, share it below! Make sure to follow The Pin the Map Project on Pinterest.

I’m supposed to head back to New York next year and really CANNOT wait for it. This city is incredible. I’ve been there 8 years ago… it’s time to go back:)
