The Pin the Map Project started with nothing more than an idea and a push pin map gifted to me one Christmas by my mother. I remember unwrapping that large, National Geographic pushpin map with the quote “to travel is to live” inscribed across the bottom. I couldn’t wait to get the map back to New York and hang it up in my apartment so I could pin all the places I’d been to. When I finally pinned the map, I stepped back and became acutely aware of just how much of the world I had left to see! It was at that very moment that my idea of starting a travel blog came to life as I decided right then and there, I would make it my goal to prioritize travel and start my own “Pin the Map Project.” The rest, as they say, is history. That map still hangs in my apartment, now surrounded with photos from my past travels. For the traveler in your life, below are a few travel-inspired holiday gifts to bring home and perhaps inspire their next big adventure!
