Paris has that certain je ne sais quoi that sets it apart from other cities as it seems to have a veil of romance draped over its cobble stone streets. From the deep green stalls that dot the Left bank of the Seine-selling everything from tattered novels to postcards-to the colorful pastries on display at Laduree, the city is infused with this dream-like aura that throws glitter in the eyes of all who visit.
While on a recent assignment in Paris, I felt the city wrap around me like a warm embrace as I lost myself to reveries of living like a Parisian, romance and drawing inspiration from the streets of this iconic place. In the few days that I called Paris home, I savored meals, drank good wine, shared excellent company and fell in love with the glittering Eiffel Tower, moonlight dancing across the Seine and warm glow of sidewalk cafes around the Latin Quarter.
The beauty of Paris can hardly be captured by a photo as it seems more appropriate to pay homage to the city through some song and dance rather than the click of a camera; but regardless I toted my Nikon from the Eiffel Tower to Notre Dame to capture scenes from the romantic La Ville Lumiere.
